I am seriously contemplating moving to vegas after i graduate! time to really start being careful with my money, and busting ass working!
not sure what i’d do if i got a job here, especially with the economy being the way it is. its so tough to leave home, but, at the same, i feel like being in hawaii really hinders ones ability to “grow up” (no offense to people).
June 4th
Today was pretty good! Feel on top of my goals (except my ICS class, but hey, he drops the lowest scores!).
Intake:
Breakfast: 3/4 c teff with 1/4 c coconut milk 1tbsp each chia seeds and flaxseeds, banana, fritata (egg w/ tomatoes, spinach, kale, basil, green onion)
Snack 1: Passionfruit chobani
Lunch: Grilled fish w/ lemon, about 1 eggplant worth of grilled eggplant, couple tbsps of guacamole, about 2 cup spinach, handful of grape tomatoes, lemon juice
Snack: Chocolate chip larabar (omg soooo good!!)
Snack: Homemade Hummus w/ 1 cucumber and 1 celery
Dinner:
Workout: 2 mile jog/run/walk…wanted to go gym but I was so wiped out! I’ll give myself a break since I woke up at 445am and I was just beat by the time I got home, I dragged my ass to get that far! Not to mention my arms are STILL sore from my workout..last monday! What the hell? I figured I should rest up tonight, and try to get at least 7.5 hours of sleep. Maybe ill do some crunches or something?
June Goal List
I decided to make a June Goal List! Maybe this will help me get more on track with everything I need to do! I think I should do this every month to help me really stay focused; I’m dividing it into mind, body, and spirit goals. So, here it goes:
Mind:
Read at least 1 book a week, Junes books include:
“Brave New World”
“Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland”
“Eat, Pray, Love”
and “Amexica”
Learn more about Islamic culture
Be more on top of my ICS class, and not finish the work the night/day before its due
Stay on top of all the work that needs to get done for my internship
Create binders for my classes in Spring 2012:
Geog 489
Geog 470/370
Plan 673
Be better with my finances: create my binder, create a budget, track EVERY penny spent starting June 4th, be better with my money
Finish reorganizing my room (I want this to be done by June 9th)
Figure out how the hell to edit this thing!
Body:
Create a calendar that plans out all the meals for the month DONE! YAY!
Cut back on alcohol, sugar, salty foods, “impulse” eating, Starbucks (1-2x a week, preferably once)
Try to exercise 4x a week (hopefully can do with my insane work schedule!)
Try at least one type of new exercise
Spirit:
Let go of the “situation” that has been bugging me
Find better ways to de-stress
CAN DO!

Men Can Stop Rape’s new College Bystander Intervention campaign.
Actual good anti rape campaign posters! They don’t shame victims, they ask people to examine their own actions and inactions and protect their friends. And not in a gross excuse for chivalry either, just as people keeping people safe.

Yep I agree. I also like how it’s not tying a man taking action around rape to some imaginary alpha male/hypermasculine sort of thing. Like a real man would do such and such.
